RESPECT

This week in Room 7 we have been writing raps about respect. We watched a very cool video on Youtube.

Here is Blakes rap.

Respect is important, I want you to know
It's called respect,
If you don't use it,
Your friends might lose it.

R.E.S.P.E.S.C.T.
It's called respect.
Respect means no touching, no pushing, not even any fighting.
Respect my personal space.
It's called respect.
I'll give it to you if you give it to me.

Respect can hurt like the strength of a fist.
But instead show the flick of a wrist.
If you want to be treated the way of wonder,
Then treat them how you want to be treated.

Now if you want to learn, go to rap of wonder.com

We want you!

Room 7 are interviewing current and former students of Middle School about their memories of their time at our school. If you or anyone you know can help us out by giving us 30 minutes of their time to be interviewed we would really appreciate your help. We are going to video the interviews and create an oral history of our school.

Memories

We have been writing wonderful poems about memories. We are learning to use rhymes.

Memories are very special to me
They are as cool as a bee.

I am as bad as a key
A key is as shiny as a bee.

My treasures are very shiny
And some are very tiny.

A fish is very shiny
It looks so tiny.

I have memories in my head
It is like I’m cuddling my bed.

I like sharing them with you
It is like you will spew.

I like looking at my photos
When I’m eating my potatoes.

By Sid

Memories are very important to me,
Like a yellow buzzy bee.

I like looking at my photo,
Its as big as a red tomato.

I remember putting a smile,
On my Mum’s dial.

By Dontae

Memories are important to me,
Some of them have a key.

My treasures are very old,
Some of them turn cold.

The remind me of Bessy,
And she was very messy.

It reminds me to stop
But I just drop.

I have memories in my head,
And they have to go to bed.

I have memories as small as a mouse,
But some of them are as big as a house.

I have a friend called Brian
And he teased a lion.

Memories are important to me,
Like a golden key.

I like looking at my photo,
It’s like Pluto

My treasures are very shiny,
They are all miney.
