Homework challenge:

Can you find photos of yourself growing up? We are learning about life cycles and how things change over time. Bring along some photos to share with the class to show us how you have changed since you were born. If you need to you can email them to Miss Nielsen.

How have these people changed over time? This photo was taken in 2011

We wrote some acrostic poems about athletics

As amazing as a chocolate city.
Tall people are good runners.
Hot like the core.
Losing is not great.
Ethan likes athletics.
Talking slows you down.
I.M.S is the best at athletics.
Crighton my friend came second.
So cool winning the 60m race.
By Ethan

As awesome as a party.
Train very very hard.
Hot as the sun.
Long jump is tiring.
Excellence is exhausting.
Tiring running 100m.
I am awesome at running.
Catching up with people.
Sitting down nicely afterwards.
By Ryan C

Awesome as an iceberg.
Training is hard.
Hot as fire.
Lots of people.
Easy as maths.
Throwing.
Incredible as a motorbike.
Cool as  a super hero.
Shotput is awesome.

Athletics Day

On Thursday we had our athletics day. We did all the field events in the morning. We did long jump, high jump, shot put and discus. We had to wait to do our running on Friday because we can't do it at our school. We did our running at Windsor North School. Thanks to everyone who supported us.

If anyone has any good photos of us at athletics please share them with us. Our photographers were a wee bit shaky and we have lots of 'moving' shots.

Dictionaries

This week all the Year 4 children received a dictionary from the local Rotary Club. They are beautiful dictionaries that will help us with learning. We really enjoyed looking at all the pictures in them.
